Research project
In the concept of the 'Physical Internet', participants of an open sharing network share vehicles such as trucks, personnel, but also resources such as 3D printers or buildings. To be able to share in an open sharing network, the question is how the planning of driving routes and the assignment of tasks and vehicles can best be coordinated. What is the best mix in a subnetwork intended for transport? If companies offer tasks or means of transport to the network, what are the effects on the offer in terms of price or availability? And what are the consequences for the planning and the adaptability of their activities? This is what we want to investigate in this work package.
