Sharing logistics processes in cities and rural areas   

What are the possibilities of shared multimodal hubs for logistics processes in cities and rural areas? From a well-being perspective, deliveries in rural areas are important but often inefficient. The focus is often on personal mobility and not on the delivery of goods in rural areas. In SMiLES we want to understand the potential for the development and operation of the most common hubs (shared distribution centers, shared regional hubs and small hubs for last mile delivery). We look at what agreements and policies have been made. We also investigate the complex interplay between government, the market and people and we test the influence of incentive measures in subnetworks.
